SIDEMEKI™ for liquid food & beverages
Liquid food products, such as canned or bottled drinks and sauces, are often delivered in packages that are higher than they are wider. These types of products can be more sensitive if they tip over and cause an unwanted influx of products, which is a challenge for food production equipment.
The inspection equipment chosen to ensure the safety of liquid food packaging should take these product characteristics into account. Adequate product guidance and smooth belt transfers are the absolute minimum when it comes to seamless inspection.
When inspecting liquid foods in tall primary packaging, it is common to use side-shooting X-ray systems, which means that the X-ray generator is mounted either on the front or back of the system rather than on the top or bottom. This allows the package to be inspected efficiently with little to no blind spots.
