The start-up SUPASO has developed a patented upcycling process that transforms waste paper into high-performance insulating packaging for shipping temperature- and impact-sensitive products. The stated goal: to replace styrofoam and less sustainable insulation systems worldwide. Both FRIMA-PAC AG and SUPASO aim for a shift in perspective: towards more nature and regional value chains, as well as a careful approach to our resources.
At the core of the SUPASO shipping packaging system is a high-quality cellulose insulation material made from recycled waste paper. This material is characterized by very low thermal conductivity compared to all other bio-based insulating materials. The outer shell is made from kraft paper. As a result, our packaging for temperature-controlled shipping can be completely disposed of in the paper recycling bin and reintroduced into the recycling process.
SUPASO packaging is food-safe and shock-absorbent. Depending on the outside temperature, the type of goods being shipped, and the size of the order, SUPASO Coolpacks can be added to shipments to complement the sustainable cold shipping system.
Avoid questionable cooling gels or difficult-to-handle dry ice. The Coolpacks, made from sustainable materials, contain 100% pure conventional water without additives and are food-safe. For disposal, the water can safely be poured down the drain or used to water the garden.
