As a packaging manufacturer, we are pleased to have developed an innovative and sustainable solution for the safe transport of the extension tables of the new Bernina 990 together with Bernina Schweiz AG. Working closely together, we designed a prototype for a tailor-made pendulum container that was subjected to extensive testing to meet all requirements. We delivered the final pendulum containers on time and in proven quality, which have been in successful continuous use since this year.
Protecting the powder-coated surfaces was of utmost importance to us. Since improper handling could cause scratches, we have developed a special wooden insert that we have covered with felt strips. These inserts guarantee that the tables remain intact during transport from the factory in Steckborn to the powder coater and back.
Our pendulum container is not only effective in protecting the products, but also extremely efficient in handling. The reusable design saves valuable time when packing and unpacking and reduces the carbon footprint to a minimum. “Swing containers save a lot of time and protect the environment,” emphasizes our Chairman of the Board of Directors, Marc Wegmüller. With this long-lasting and resource-saving solution, we actively contribute to making our customers’ logistics more efficient and sustainable.
